Steve Jones
Co-Founder and Chairman

In his role as Chairman, Steve works closely with John Osborne in setting the direction and goals for the business. Steve also oversees all customer contractual matters and is responsible for keeping all shareholders informed on company progress. Prior to becoming Chairman in 2007 he served as chief executive officer from the company’s formation in 2002.

A visionary businessman with more than 30 years in the software industry, Steve has brought that experience to bear to help build Tarsin into a highly successful and rapidly growing business. This growth has been funded by more than £5.5M of private funding which Steve played a key part in raising. Steve also remains an active investor in numerous start-up companies in the U.S. and UK.

Prior to founding Tarsin, Steve co-founded SurfControl Inc. Steve served as CEO of SurfControl from the company’s formation until 1994 when he became president of the company’s U.S. operations based in California. Steve played a key role in successfully taking the company public on the London AIM market and the main London market. He retired from SurfControl when he returned home to the UK in 2001, but that retirement only lasted until Tarsin was born in 2002.

John Osborne
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

As the co-founder and chief executive officer, John is the driving force and visionary mind behind the company’s success in mobile. He has been instrumental in bringing clarity to the possibilities within the mobile space. John leads the Tarsin team in developing future-proof solutions allowing clients to create realistic business models for mobile initiatives.

Prior to joining Tarsin in 2006, Osborne served as a director and strategic consultant for Motorola, where he helped drive mass-market mobile application solutions. He also launched and supported Motorola BACKUP delivery to more than 127 countries in 27 languages, representing Motorola’s most successful network application solution launch.

Before Motorola, John co-founded a successful technology and intellectual property licensing business-to-business company, yet2.com. He also worked in strategic digital business consulting roles with Sun Microsystems and Polaroid, and acted as the entrepreneur-in-residence at a number of other technology startups including 3i, one of the world’s largest VC’s.

In his early years, John founded Active Imaging, one of the most successful imaging systems companies in Europe. Working with Apple, Active Imaging helped release the first live WebCast of the Emmy’s in 1995. After its successful stock issue on AIM, Active Imaging was acquired by SilverMines plc in 1996.

David E. Bush
Chief Financial Officer

As the chief financial officer and board member , David is responsible for the financial landscape for Tarsin including financial reports, budgets and management of finance team.

Prior to joining Tarsin, David served as VP of Finance for SurfControl Inc., responsible for the administration and financial control of the company’s U.S. operations. He later advanced to vice president of finance and helped manage company growth when it went public on the London Stock Exchange.

Mitch Harbaugh
Vice President, Marketing

As the vice president of marketing, Mitch works directly with clients in establishing successful marketing strategies around their mobile offerings. In addition, he helps guide our clients’ creative and product teams through UI and design to maximize the potential of the mobile experience using Capsa.

Mitch has more than 19 years of experience in the design, implementation and marketing of private-label and co-branded platforms. Before joining Tarsin in 2004, he served as a founding member of Xylo, Inc., an exclusive retail discount platform. At Xylo, Harbaugh designed and delivered incentive-based campaigns for Fortune 1000 companies, including Nordstrom, Boeing and Eddie Bauer.

In addition, Mitch spent eight years as the creative director for Lighthouse Publications & Web Services, the graphic design arm of Seattle-based Blier and Associates. In this role, he directed the Web and print presence for the Blier brand and client products.
